This course examines major social issues emerging in an increasingly interconnected world. It explores how globalization shapes inequality, culture, identity, migration, labor, gender relations, environment, technology, and social movements. Using global and Türkiye-focused case studies, students critically analyze how local societies are influenced by global economic, political, and cultural forces, emphasizing Türkiye's unique structural and regional position.
